DESCRIPTION:Sarasota County Parks\, Recreation and Natural Resources\, in partnership with presenting sponsor New Balance University\, proudly hosts the 50th Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run\, a longtime tradition in Sarasota's running community. Set a fast pace across the hard-packed\, world-renowned sand of Siesta Beach in the chip-timed 5K\, sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club and part of the MTC Race Series\, or enjoy a leisurely morning stroll along the shore in the 1-mile fun run.\n\n\n\nParticipants can also enjoy:\n\n	Finisher medals for all participants (5K\, 1-Mile and Virtual)\n	Custom awards for first through sixth place finishers in all 5K age categories\n	Music\, food and raffle prizes\n	A holiday-themed costume contest featuring the categories: Oldest Sandy Claws Shirt\, Best '70s Costume\, Most Festive Holiday Outfit\,\n	Best Duo Costume and Best Family/Group Costume\n\nRegister by Nov. 20 before the price increase to receive a long-sleeve performance event shirt and runner goodies (no-shows forfeit these items). Participants who register on Nov. 21 or later\, including race day\, will receive an event shirt and runner goodies while supplies last.\n\n\n\nA special 5K Family 4-Pack registration discount is available for groups of four.
