Siesta Key Scarecrow Stroll

A family-friendly (and maybe a little spooky) seasonal event where homemade scarecrows created by local businesses will line the walkways and storefronts of Siesta Key, from north to south. Come on out to the Key and stroll, dine, shop, or watch the sunset while enjoying our scarecrow displays, October 1-31.

Visit the Siesta Key Chamber Facebook Page to vote for your favorite. Voting runs throughout the event. Winners announced November 1.

Please note: Registration is only required for participating businesses. If you're simply enjoying the Scarecrow Stroll as a visitor, there's no need to register—just come out and have fun!

Participating Businesses

Who can participate:

All Siesta Key businesses, including shops, restaurants, bars, the Beach Pavilion, lifeguard stations, fire department, and more. Wherever you are on Siesta Key, you’re invited to be part of the fun.

Details:

Businesses create and display their own homemade scarecrows outside their storefronts or on walkways.
Scarecrows should be mobile so they can be moved indoors after hours for safekeeping.
Each scarecrow display can be inspired by pop culture, humor, horror, or any creative idea your team dreams up. The result? A vibrant, walkable attraction that brings joy to families, visitors, and locals alike!
No cost to participate – just your time, creativity, and a little spooky spirit!
Scarecrows must be displayed October 1-October 31 during your business hours.
Registration will close September 14.
Post behind-the-scenes photos of your scarecrow creations and Tag the Siesta Key Chamber Facebook Page to build buzz.

During registration, you’ll be asked to choose your participation in one of the following options: either the Scarecrow Stroll only, or the Scarecrow Stroll plus Halloween Safe Treats on October 31. (Details about Halloween Safe Treats can be found here.)

Both events are free to participate in. We kindly ask that you register by the deadline so we have enough time to promote the event to the public.
