Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Tax Accountant who brings both precision and empathy to their work. This role is perfect for professionals proficient in corporate and individual income tax preparation and planning, general ledger accounting, trial balance preparation, and have an interest in building a long-term rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.
• Research tax issues independently and document conclusions clearly in workpapers and client memos.
• Respond to notices and correspondence from the IRS and state taxing authorities.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain results, and answer questions.
• Stay current on changes in federal and state tax law and how they affect clients.
• Manage multiple engagements and meet filing deadlines, especially during busy season.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, CCH, Engagement, and other financial software tools.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information properly.
• Take ownership of projects, demonstrate sound judgment, and contribute ideas for firm improvement.

 
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Working knowledge of individual and business tax preparation.
• CPA license required, though experienced candidates actively progressing toward licensure may be considered.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong proficiency with tax preparation software, research tools, Microsoft Office, Excel, and related accounting technology.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and maintain strong client relationships.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Actual compensation for our roles will be aligned with the position’s responsibilities, level, and experience of the selected candidate.
