Big Cat Habitat Welcomes New Resident
Big Cat Habitat Conservation and Education Center is now home to a new animal resident, a female cheetah named Zuri, as part of its new conservation program whose goal is to help protect vulnerable species. Zuri is the Habitat’s first cheetah. On May 16, Sarasota Jungle Gardens commemorated its 85th anniversary and the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce was a big part of the celebratory event. Siesta Key's Trolley Rebranded
Sarasota County commemorates the two millionth passenger milestone on its Siesta Key trolley. To mark the special occasion, the trolley is being rebranded as the Route 77 Siesta Islander. Just after the first of the year Pestmaster of Sarasota was awarded a 3-year contract to provide pest control for Raymond James Stadium and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. PestMaster will be providing insect, termite, and rodent control for the entire facility, including all concession stands, suites, press boxes, and locker rooms.
