On May 16, Sarasota Jungle Gardens commemorated its 85th anniversary and the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce was a big part of the celebratory event. Chamber staff, volunteers, ambassadors, and members showed up to experience one of Sarasota’s favorite attractions.

The festivities began with breakfast and the opportunity to interact and take pictures with some of the exotic animals from the Gardens' collection. The experience highlighted the wonder and beauty of nature, a mission that Sarasota Jungle Gardens has passionately upheld for 85 years.

Sarasota Jungle Gardens is a living testament to 'old Florida,' offering a glimpse into the past while continually evolving to remain a vibrant destination for today’s families, locals, and tourists. Whether hand-feeding the free-roaming flamingos, holding colorful parrots, or getting up close with small alligators, the park never fails to enchant and educate guests of all ages with its diverse wildlife and engaging programs.
